Garage fire proves fatal

On Saturday, August 20,
2005 units were dispatched at 02:34 for the intial alarm. Lt18c arrived
on scene report a two story working fire. E-18 marked on scene and
split crews one advancing a 2 1/2" attack line to side A and the other
half laddering the building and attempting a primary search of division
two due to numerous reports of people trapped. Crews were forced
from division two due to a flash over on division one and rapidly deteriorating
conditions on division two.
| E-24 marked on scene and
deployed a 2 1/2" attack line to side a structure one and attemped to stopped
the advacement in exposure one which was approximately two feet from structure
one. L-58 was placed in front of structure one and a defensive operation
