House fire, total loss
Monday, March 10, Station
28 (Pleasant Mount) and Station 52 (Uniondale) were dispatched to a structure
fire on fifth street at Lake Lowe. With fire evident, E-41 (Forest
City) and R-18 and T-18 (Clifford) were special called. E-52 dropped
a line in from the road and confirmed a fully involved structure fire.
E-28 arrived on scene, picking up the lay and establishing a dump site
for tankers while E-41 picked up the fill site.
Engine 18 was requested by
28 Command (Chief Robinson) and its crew to assist at the scene.
A quick knockdown of the blaze was unable to prevent a total loss of the
structure due to its rural setting.
Engine crews from 41 and
18 assisted with the overhaul. Units operated at the scene for approximately
three hours before returning to service. No injuries were reported. |
