911
Addressing
Make
sure your home is numbered properly!
In
early December the Susquehanna 911 Center in conjunction with the US Post
Office and Clifford Township Supervisors released the new addresses for
Clifford Township. This release is truly a milestone for the Emergency
Services that protect your life and property. Although there will
be additional work on the residents behalf changing your address with the
appropriate agencies, the new 911 address will greatly enhance the ability
for Emergency Services to find your home or location of your emergency.
One
vital step for residents to complete is properly signing your residence
so Clifford Fire, Rescue and Ambulance can quickly locate your home.
It is very important to have uniformity to the signage within the Township
and County. Susquehanna County has approached this by encouraging
the use of a blue reflective sign 6” x 18” with white reflective letters.
The sign is to be located at the end of your driveway or if your house
is within 50’ of the roadway, attached appropriately to the street side
of the residence. These signs will be available for purchase at the
Clifford Fire station. Your can secure your signs on Monday
evenings 630-830pm or Wednesday 230-500pm
If this is not possible due to your schedule, please call the fire station
at 570-222-3741 and we will do our best to accommodate anyone interested.
The
signage is the final step in this project and one of the most important
to make it successful. |
